Cantinetta La Norma
Im Herzen der Stadt

Directly in the middle of Vienna's core lies the Franziskanerplatz with its Moses Fountain and the ostentatious Franciscan Church, which was build at the beginning of the 17th century in place of a former penitence monastery. The ecclesia combines different architectural styles - the facade is in a renaissance-style while the interior with typically baroque detailing houses the magnificent high altar by Andrea Pozzo, complete with its depiction of the Virgin Mary as well as the art historically extremely important Wöckerl-organ from 1642.

History and present meet each other in this adorable and lively quarter like hardly elsewhere: the Franziskanerviertel belongs to the oldest boroughs of Vienna and life here is characterized by history-charged buildings, novel stores and a selection of fine restaurants and cafés.
